保守黨為英國兩大黨之一，政治光譜上中間偏右。保守黨於二十世紀執政逾六十年。邱吉爾、戴卓爾、馬卓安、彭定康，香港人熟悉的英國政界人物當中不少皆為保守黨藉。

保守黨由2010年起至今執政逾14年，歷經緊縮政策、脱歐公投、疫情、黨內兩次逼宮等政治動盪，現由辛偉誠（Rishi Sunak）帶領。2019年，約翰遜（Boris Johnson）以 “Get Brexit Done” 為號，帶領保守黨大勝。其上任後不久遇上疫情，疫情初期放任政策備受抨擊，封城期間政府大手筆補助企業避免經濟蕭條、及後因疫苗接種大幅領先歐洲各國而維持民望高企。2022年初，爆發派對門醜聞，約翰遜和辛偉誠在封城期間違反規定於唐寧街舉行派對而被罰款，及後保守黨政府接連爆發醜聞，導致約翰遜被逼宮下台。

約翰遜辭職後，保守黨議員選出卓慧思（Liz Truss）和辛偉誠競逐黨魁一職，卓慧思以減税和強硬脱歐路線獲黨員青睞而當選。卓慧思上任後即推出減税預算案，由於未提及如何填補減税帶來的財政黑洞導致國債市場動盪，在位45天後辭職下台。保守黨議員推舉辛偉誠接任。

辛偉誠接任時承諾減少移民和減少國民保健署（NHS）輪候時間，然而民望一直低迷。

Should You Buy Bitcoin?

In general, many financial experts support their clients’ desire to buy cryptocurrency, but they don’t recommend it unless clients express interest. “The biggest concern for us is if someone wants to invest in crypto and the investment they choose doesn’t do well, and then all of a sudden they can’t send their kids to college,” says Ian Harvey, a certified financial planner (CFP) in New York City. “Then it wasn’t worth the risk.” The speculative nature of cryptocurrency leads some planners to recommend it for clients’ “side” investments. “Some call it a Vegas account,” says Scott Hammel, a CFP in Dallas. “Let’s keep this away from our real long-term perspective, make sure it doesn’t become too large a portion of your portfolio.” In a very real sense, Bitcoin is like a single stock, and advisors wouldn’t recommend putting a sizable part of your portfolio into any one company. At most, planners suggest putting no more than 1% to 10% into Bitcoin if you’re passionate about it. “If it was one stock, you would never allocate any significant portion of your portfolio to it,” Hammel says.

Pinterest (PINS) Stock Sinks As Market Gains
